'Gabriela' gives itself away in a bar or two. 'Tonight I Might' and 'Mean Girls' do not, and that gap between the singles and the album tracks is where an easy round stops being easy.
The story arrived before the music did: an audition filmed for Netflix, six members chosen from a global program, a lead single that split the room on release. These details decide the close rounds.
The catalog splits cleanly in two. Start with the polished 2024 singles, move to the louder, stranger 2025 material, and find out which of the two eras is the one that stops you.
The 2024 debut EP is the friendly half of the catalog. 'Touch' and 'Debut' open clean and reach their hooks fast, and 'My Way' keeps the same polish. If a clip sounds like unclouded English-language pop with tidy edges, it almost certainly comes from here, and these are the easy points at the start of a round.
Ten months later the group traded polish for friction. 'Gnarly' is a chant with hard corners that split listeners the week it landed, 'Gabriela' pivots to Latin-pop acoustic guitar with a bridge sung in Spanish, and 'Gameboy' sits between the two. None of it is inferable from the debut EP, which is exactly what makes this half difficult.
Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sophia and Yoonchae split lines rather than stacking them, so a verse moves between voices quickly. Once you learn who takes which section, the order of the hand-off dates a track faster than the melody does. Daniela's Spanish vocal on 'Gabriela' is the clearest single tell in the catalog.
Most people met this group through Pop Star Academy, so the formation story is common knowledge while the catalog is not. That inversion is the trap. Players who can name all six members and explain the Dream Academy program still stall when a clip has to be placed on the right EP.
Play a KATSEYE quiz on Songtrivia and find out. You name the song from a short clip and answer trivia across both EPs. Anyone can take 'Gabriela'; the score that means something is the one that also places 'Tonight I Might' and 'Mean Girls'.
The singles everyone has heard, 'Gabriela', 'Gnarly', 'Touch' and 'Debut', plus the album tracks that decide close rounds: 'My Way', 'Tonight I Might', 'Gameboy' and 'Mean Girls'.
Harder than a two-year catalog suggests. The 2024 EP is polished English-language pop and the 2025 EP is louder and stranger, so a clip from one gives you almost no help with the other. Most wrong answers are era mistakes, not song mistakes. That is what makes it a good round to guess the song with friends in a multiplayer music quiz.
Only if you have played both EPs end to end. The singles are free points. Naming 'I'm Pretty' or 'Mean Girls' from a short clip, or hearing which member opens a verse, is what turns a good score into a perfect one.
